ONDO is the native token of Ondo Finance, a decentralized finance platform that bridges traditional financial markets with blockchain infrastructure. Founded in 2021, Ondo Finance focuses on tokenizing real-world assets such as U.S. Treasuries, bonds, and money market funds, aiming to bring institutional-grade financial products onto decentralized networks.
The platform is structured into two main segments: Asset Management and Technology. The Asset Management division is responsible for issuing tokenized financial products, while the Technology division develops and maintains the infrastructure that enables decentralized access and transaction processing. The ONDO token serves as the governance asset of the Ondo DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Holders of the token can vote on important protocol matters, including upgrades, economic adjustments, and broader governance decisions affecting the ecosystem, including platforms like Flux Finance, a decentralized lending protocol governed by the DAO.
ONDO has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. The circulating supply is currently around 3.15 billion tokens.
